Professional Indemnity Cover for Security Firms
The Marine/Miscellaneous Insurance Subcommittee is in the process of formulating underwriting guidelines including standard proposal forms, policy/endorsement wordings and rating guides for adoption by member companies as best practices for the insurance of firms providing security services.

The underwriting guidelines would incorporate a framework for minimum risk management controls and procedures and minimum underwriting criteria that security companies should meet as pre-requisites for professional indemnity cover.

PIAM Public Forum for Directors and Officers (D & O) - Personal Financial Liability - Can You Afford It?
A public forum was organized by the Marine/ Miscellaneous Insurance Sub-committee on 8 June 2006 to generate a higher level of awareness of Directors’ and Officers liability to corporate clients currently insured with member companies especially with heightened corporate governance requirements. The forum was well attended by Directors and Officers of Public and Private Limited Companies, Underwriters and Brokers.
