Public Relations
The Association implements a planned public relations programme for each year
but also addresses simultaneously, current issues facing the industry and
consumers, as and when these arise. The public relations and communications
strategies of the Association focus on raising the knowledge and understanding
of the general public on insurance matters.
In the year 2006, the Association continued to educate the man-on-the-street
via the media on general insurance products through educational feature
articles and articles written in easy-toread FAQs format. This exercise of
providing relevant information on insurance matters strengthens the
Association's role as a resource center for insurance-related topics. To
ensure accurate reporting on insurance matters, media education workshops for
invited representatives from the media are also organized to provide
information on current insurance issues, products and services.
