What is a Mediator?
- being impartial and independent, solely responsible for the decision
he/she makes.
- acts as a counsellor, conciliator, adjudicator or arbitrator in
cases where policyholders who are not satisfied with the member companies
in respect of their claims.
- procedure of complaint is simple - a letter addressed to him at
the address below stated:-

- decision is based on a practical approach rather than on rigid
application of laws
- a complainant may accept or reject the mediator's decisions.
- mediator can make awards up to:
- RM 200,000 (Motor & Fire insurance)
- RM 100,000 (Others)
- RM 5,000 (3rd party property damage)
- complainant is free to reject an award and exercise his legal right
to pursue legal proceeding.
