What is an Insurance Loss Adjuster?
- "Private Investigators" of the Insurance Industry.
- Independent professional or appointed by the insurance company.
- Duties are to investigate, assess/adjust and estimate the total
cost of a loss or damage.
- Recommendations and settlement amount.
- Must be corporation and licensed by the Insurance Regulator (BNM).
- Charge professional fees/services.
- Member of the Association of Malaysian Loss Adjusters (AMLA).
- Adjusters must be qualified, experienced, good character (integrity),
fair and impartial.
- Minimum Paid Up Capital - RM150,000.
