PIAM Fun Run 2026 Connects University Students with Malaysia's General Insurance Industry
Kuala Lumpur, 31 July 2026 – More than 700 participants, bringing together members of the general insurance and reinsurance industry as well as university students, took part in PIAM Fun Run 2026, a complimentary community run organised by the General Insurance Association of Malaysia (PIAM). The event promoted a healthy lifestyle while providing university students with valuable opportunity to network and engage with industry professionals.
Held at Padang Merbok, Kuala Lumpur on 25 July 2026, the event featured 5km and 8km race categories and was flagged off by PIAM Chief Executive Officer, Mr Chua Kim Soon, together with Berjaya Sompo Insurance Berhad CEO, Ms. Soo Wai Har, Hannover Rueck SE Malaysia CEO, Mr. James Ng Kai Hung, and The TOA Reinsurance Co Ltd CEO, Ms. Jackie Siow Wei Kuan.
Beyond the run, participants enjoyed a range of activities, including a photo booth and complimentary reflexology services, creating a vibrant and engaging experience for runners and supporters alike. The competitive spirit was on full display as participants completed the 5km and 8km race categories.
PIAM Fun Run 2026 reflects the Association's ongoing commitment to promoting health and wellness, fostering stronger connections within the general insurance and reinsurance industry, and inspiring the next generation of talent by creating meaningful opportunities for university students to engage with industry professionals.
